Looks like I'm doing journal entries about six months apart. So here's the July entry. This piece is part of a Four Seasons series that I did last year, I think. Page 2 in my gallery here. I always felt she had too much chin. So I fixed that, and this is the new version, which I like a lot better. Appropriate for the season, I think:

This isn't a particularly Wintry image, but it has the feeling I'm after. I wish all of you an absurdly Merry Christmas, and an unimaginably Happy New Year!

I sort of wandered off into a strange land, about three and a half months ago. The Land of Linux. My computer now has, in addition to Windows, twelve Linux distributions running on it -- sort of like having 12 different computers, in one box:  Slackware (Fluxbox), Linux Lite (Xfce4), OpenSUSE (KDE), Arch Linux (KDE, LXDE, Xfce4 and Enlightenment 17), Semplice (Openbox), Gentoo (Xfce4 and Enlightenment 17), Debian (KDE), Manjaro (Openbox), Sparky Linux, Linux Mint Xfce4, Dream Studio (Unity) and AntiX (fluxbox, Icewm). I don't know ... maybe I got kind of carried away? But art happens, too. Here's a detail of a new piece, "Night Follows Day.

Today I saw that my most recent piece, "Day Follows Night," had been featured as a DD, a Daily Deviation. Ummm ... wow. I most sincerely thank the person who suggested it, and the person who featured it. There's no way I can thank, one by one, all the people who have Favorited that piece.
